1 last thought! post

so i thought i could write once for all what i'm missing from my last job. I'm not complaining, but it seems to me it has to be written down, and the topic will be over. :)

I miss entering at 9, and consequently getting up later. I miss it was not as far away from home as I thought when I started, because you never know which will be the distance between your house and your following job. I liked I could have lunch back home at a reasonable hour, and that every now and then there were chocolates or sweets because of somebody's birthday or return from abroad. I miss drinking water throughout the morning, and reading mails as soon as they arrived, as well as popping up at avanoo and even write posts during my working hours. I miss the people there more than I thought I would, and guess what, I also miss people I used to see on the bus, and that was what inspired this post: as i traveled this morning I realized I won't probably see them again, those nameless people some of whom reminded me of others I don't even know personally, like Extorted. :)

On the other hand, I love to see how good private education works, I love to see children around, and that they start addressing me for their questions. The best of all is when the little ones get close and simply are: little adorable kids. I enjoy the amount of colorful-cover books, being able to take some to read on the bus before I start feeling dizzy, and the opportunity to practice my English.

I always find that when I started a new job ... there was a bit of "I Miss This and That... " going on - we get used to our routines and those around us. But I found that around the 3 month mark - it wasn't so bad anymore! The cool thing is that YOU can bring something new to your new workplace - you can bring in chocolates & treats for someone's special occasion - set a new precedence! That allows you to interact with your coworkers, foster positive working relationships and set a new uplifting work environment!

I know Magui has a lot to share and offer to her new work environment - its now up to her to decide just how involved she wants to become! I'm also very glad to see that you are seeing the positive side of this change...

We always hate our "routines" so much... as much as we say we miss'em when we make changes to our lifes and so we need to get bored by new "routines"

It's like that one (I don't remember who said it: WHEN YOU'RE BORED WITH YOURSELF, GET MARRIED! SO YOU CAN GET BORED OF SOMEBODY ELSE!)

Life's really strange sometimes... :P

I can so relate to seeing familiar faces on the bus...and most of the other things as well. I guess most of the times there are things you will miss about an old workplace and/or the 'routines', I know I do although I didn't see it at the time. But for every new job I've gotten I've learned new things and had new experiences, both good and bad... It's all really about 'evolving'(?)... =)

There will be many positive outcomes as a result of this job. I had a paper route when I was much younger. I didn't enjoy getting up at 6 AM every day, however, that ability has proved useful since. Also, I got pretty good at spreadsheets when I wrote a rather simple billing "application" for my monthly collections process... At least you get to see people! :)
