Hey, everybody. The Avanoo badges have been discontinued, but there is a similar service provided by Everywun (www.everywun.com). You might recognize the face on the front page! ;)

Instead of the previous "Marketplace for Good" badges, transparent (blank) images are now being served. This is hopefully less annoying than seeing broken images and will give you time to remove the badges from your pages.

We apologize for the inconvenience. If this is the first time you are hearing about the discontinuation of the badges, I am sorry for that. It is a happy story, but we needed to wait to tell it.

So... The summary is that a month ago Dan and Wilford decided to divide and conquer. Dan started a company dedicated to providing everyone with new ways of giving to good causes. That is a big project that calls for a company fully dedicated to the mission! And what he is doing is really awesome. Meanwhile, Wilford stayed with Avanoo to continue to build out the technology and the Share community. This is, as I said, a happy time for both Dan and Wilford, who remain excellent friends. This decision enables two great things to develop where before there was one thing that, let's be honest, kind of confused people.

And now that I've said all that... An even shorter summary might be "Two companies, one love."
